The Studio
Moon Lab Studios is a recording studio in Brooklyn, New York with a passion for music production. We built the studio from the ground up: for musicians, by musicians, while listening to music.
Located just 15 minutes from Union Square in the exciting Greenpoint neighborhood, we put the comfort of our clients at the top of our list. We realize that making a great recording isn't just about expensive microphones and pushing buttons--it's an experience.
Each piece of equipment has been carefully selected with an ear for the classic, analog recordings of yesterday. From our custom-built Ludwig drum kit to our Abbey Road mic preamps, the studio's large collection of instruments and audio gear combines vintage sounds with the efficient workflow of digital recording.

Lane Banning
Owner, Chief Engineer
Since opening the studio in November 2010, Lane has produced and engineered over 50 projects at Moon Lab. He has worked with such artists as Antibalas, Lenny Pickett, Dave Douglas, and Dave Weckl, as well as many NYC artists, bands and session musicians.
Lane holds a degree in Music Technology from New York University, and enjoys drinking a cold beer while taking a hot shower. Seriously, try it.
